About the Owner...Terry L. Lacey

My first interest in home-improvement began when I was 6, when my stepfather was an architect for Virginia Homes.  My grandparents did the detail work when the homes’ construction was completed, which sparked my interest as a tradesman.  As soon as I was able to in school, I took metal working, woodworking, drafting and manufacturing up to 9th grade.  Then in high school, I went directly into the trades and took electrical.

I have always had a vision in being a leader in the trades industry.  Beginning as an electrician in high school and by the time I graduated, I was supervising other apprentice electricians in residential wiring in both single family and multi-family dwellings.  After graduation I expanded my electrical knowledge as a member in the United States Air Force Reserve and served as an electrician for 6 years.  In addition to working for private contractors.  In this 80’s I expanded to other fields such as carpentry and paining and drywall.  He learned ceramic tile thru color tile, and bathroom remodels thru Central Hardware and Builder’s Square.
